FRANCERIA MOORE is a native of North Carolina and currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she is the Founder and CEO of iHope Inc. This is the passion that drives her to stay involved with organizations that seek to bring about positive changes within communities.
When Franceria was given an opportunity to work with a local Children’s Defense Fund® Freedom School for the first time in 2006, it was then that she realized her passion for improving education. Every summer since that time, she has worked with CDF® Freedom Schools in various capacities such as a Servant Leader Intern, Site Coordinator, Project Director, Executive Director and an Ella Baker Trainer.
Franceria was employed in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System for 3 years as a Paraprofessional in the Adult and Continuing Education Program. She received the Adult Education Paraprofessional of the Year Award for the State of Louisiana in 2009 presented by The Louisiana Association for Public, Community, and Adult Education (LAPCAE).
Franceria accepted the position of Project Director for Desire Street Ministries CDF® Freedom School in 2009 and subsequently became the Director of Educational and Community Development. Through a collaborative effort with Desire Street Ministries, Franceria was able to launch her lifelong dream of starting a nonprofit organization.
Franceria is also motivational speaker and training consultant. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
